JOB TITTLE: Front Desk Receptionist LOCATION: Westport, CT JOB TYPE: Direct Hire - Full Time POSITION SUMMARY: The Reception Team has the distinct responsibility of acting as the face of the company by screening all incoming calls to the main line, greeting everyone who walks into our lobbies across all sites, and serving as a central resource of information and assistance to employees across the firm. The team is also responsible for acting as the first line of security for visitors entering the building and operating consistently with access policies. We are seeking a highly professional, polished, outgoing, team player with common sense who is interested in providing customer service to the highest standards while continually searching for ways to improve. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Answer and direct all internal and external calls that flow through receptionUtilize the Visitor (VMS) to monitor all guest arrival and departures while ensuring an excellent guest experienceBe a central information resource to the firm and provide assistance on employee concierge type servicesBe a resource to locate and connect employees with each other using the pagingPartner with security team to ensure all guests and employees comply with security policiesWork on projects that advance the goals of the team and departmentProvide leverage to the manager for the hiring with phone screens, interviewing, and skill testingDevelop and implement Receptionist training plans for new Reception hires POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree and have a year of relevant working experience as a Receptionist Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook; Excel; Word) as well as a comfort learning and using new tools.High degree of composure and interpersonal skillsPersonable and outgoing, comfortable with VIPsStrong customer service focusOrganizedCommon sense thinker who can apply sound judgment in new or ambiguous situationsEffective multitasker in a fast paced environmentAbility to formulate processes necessary to accomplish goals in the most efficient and effective wayExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to accurately prioritize problems/initiativesOpen minded, questioning, and reflective, someone who is comfortable giving and receiving feedback
