Job Description:

Overview: The Category Development Manager is responsible for developing the company's Category Management tools. This role is to support the Field Category Management team to develop, implement, and execute Category Management Initiatives used with customers. Responsibilities:Help Develop Category Management Initiative & CapabilitiesSupport the development, implementation and monitoring of Category Management Initiative and capabilities to optimize brand and customer/channel business performanceDevelop and Manage the Implementation of Category Management CapabilitiesThe CDM/CDA is responsible for helping to develop and then managing the implementation of Category Management capabilitiesManage the Monitoring of Category Management Initiative PerformanceDevelop approaches and metrics to evaluate Category Management Initiative performance.Manage the timely monitoring and evaluation of Category Management engagements to provide learning and adjustments to optimize Category Management Initiative capabilities.Work with the Agency Partner to Optimize Joint Category Management CapabilitiesWork with the Agency Partner to identify, manage and utilize joint Category Management Capabilities.Work with Field Sales on Category Management Engagements Requirements:Education - Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, retail, purchasing or related field with three to five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.3-5 years' experience in CPG industry, with a strong background in analytics and/or category management. Marketing and research experience is a plus.Strong syndicated data and panel data knowledge.Good project management skills.Solid written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.Heavy analytical skills with ability to present solutions.
