Job Description:


Salary Range ( based on experience/qualifications) - $ 40-55,000 per year
This job is based in Stamford, CT but we are planning to relocate shortly due to expansion - Relocation will be within 10-20 miles of Stamford, CT ( i.e. Mt Vernon, NY or New Rochelle , NY or Norwalk CT or Bridgeport CT or Trumbull CT or Stratford CT for example )

We are looking for a project estimator / inside sales professional in our Stamford, CT office to report directly to our sales manager.

Candidate should have a min 2 years work experience in preparing estimates ( quotes) for window and door projects based on project requirements as well as be able to market and sell our products to a network of glazing contractors, architects , designers .

The Project Estimator / Inside Sales professional will:

prepare estimates for our aluminum fenestration projects based on project specifications & guidelines
provide plan drawings and product support and order information to customers
use AutoCAD ( preferred but not mandatory ) and be able to read architectural drawings and window and door schedules to provide "take-offs" to prepare the estimate and final order
follow-up on projects to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of projects in house
follow up on quotes to secure purchase orders from the customers
help to manage a network of architects, designers, planners and major contract glazing companies to ensure that our products are specified in the planning process of projects
travel as needed to meet with clients and prospects, conducting learning seminars, attending networking events and industry tradeshows.

work with internal departments to ensure shipping and purchase order documentation is complete
provide ongoing product support to customers, the sales team, and production staff

Required Skills and Experience

To qualify for and succeed in this position, the ideal candidate will bring to the company the following:

Strong organization skills, accuracy and detail-orientation are integral to success in this role
Must have great memory skills and the ability to multi-task
Ideally a minimum of two years related project co-ordination or estimating experience in the building materials industry.
Knowledge of using AutoCAD ( Not a requirement but a very attractive feature )
Ability to read architectural drawings and the ability to provide "take offs" from & product schedules
The ability to take initiative and understand what's required to move the sales process forward
A strong customer service orientation and clear communication by phone or email
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be on the constant look out for ways to improve efficiency and customer service.

Excellent verbal and written communication as well as problem solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, )
Ability to travel (short trips of 1-4 days)
Bachelor Degree in Design, Architecture, Engineering, Science , Business, Construction Management, or similar field required.
