Network Consulting Engineer - Unified Communications Location - Shelton, CT Global Convergence is looking for an experienced Network Consulting Engineers (NCE) to support Unified Communications Managed Service and Project work for a customer in the Connecticut area. This position will be working full time at our Client site. Unified Communication Services are intended to help customers adopt and implement new technologies to help achieve customer's business goals. Candidates must be familiar with the following:Perform client consultation: Plan, Design, Implement and support IP based call center and US solutionsAnalyze the existing voice and data networks and recommend solutions based on requirementsSet up, configure, test components of the Cisco IP Contact Center, including Cisco Call Manager, IVR, CVP, UCCEDesign, implement, and/or maintain Cisco Unified Communications systems including but not limited to CUCM, CUC, Unity, UCCX, UCCE, CUPS, VG, CUBE, CER, CVPAssist the account teams during the sales process by educating the customer on new technologies in the contract cent and UC arenaLead Engineering efforts of UC and Contact center ProjectsMaintain and support Cisco's IP Telephony and IPCC Contact Center Enterprise and all related Cisco IP telephony infrastructureAdminister and troubleshoot Unified Call Manager, Unity voicemail, ICM Call Center systems, IVR CVP, and supporting infrastructure, including CTI integration to switching platforms, dialers, call recorders and desk top platformsCreate, Implement, and Support ICM and CVP call routing scripts and required reportsWork directly with the business group to design, and test ICM and CVP call flows to meet the business requirementsSupport Cisco Agent Desktop and Cisco Supervisor Desktop clientsIdentify new offerings that arise from new technologiesIdentify new offerings that arise from customer demand and needsMaintain documentation of the UC environment and operational proceduresProvide knowledge transfer to Team members and support staffWork as a team to ensure customer requirements are gathered and projects are successfully implemented REQUIRED SKILLS:Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience required in Voice and Voice-related disciplines in design and implementation services.Experience with large, muli-cluster Cisco UC environmentsMust have hands on experience with the configuration and support of Cisco UC environmentsNetworking knowledge (i.e. routers and switches) and an expert level understanding of Cisco UCM.A strong understanding of dial plan schemes, trunking, transmissions and reporting of trunking and capacity metrics are a must.Extensive knowledge in VoIP transport such as, H.323, SIP, Inter Cluster Trunking, Call Admission and Control mechanisms, centralization of call processing and Trunking services and network policy enforcement (i.e. QoS).Experience in configuring Cisco IOS based media gateway devices for ISDN PRI connections, as well as an understanding of advanced IP to IP gateway functionality.The ability to assemble professional documents based on existing templates, ability to provide accurate job descriptions with needed hours for completion. Must understand project delivery lifecycle management, the concept of a Detailed Design, Test and Certification methodologies, Back-Out and Validation plans and procedures.Familiarity with next generation technologies such as Unified Communications, Session Boarder Controller (SBC), Session Management, IMS concepts etc. is a mustCertification level of a CCNP Voice at a minimum, CCVP or CCIE Voice Desirable Professional RequirementsDemonstrate agility to execute, focus on results, strong teamwork skills, multi-tasking, quick to adapt to changes, self-motivated and pro-activeStrong work ethic, self-discipline and ability to take ownership and deliver what you promiseStrong communication and collaboration skills and ability to work together effectively with other team membersStrong Microsoft Excel/Word knowledge to analyze daily workSelf MotivatedResults drivenHighly effective communicator (written & verbal)Self-confident, which translates well with customers, partners and colleaguesFlexible and adaptable to changeAble to grasp new concepts and translate ideas into actionsCommitment to be principled and act ethically
