The Benefits Specialist:

* Administers the health, disability and life insurance plans for hospital employees

* Manages the day-to-day relationship with the benefit vendors

* Prepares reports and analyses for management

* Completes government reports as necessary

* Calculates monthly premiums and audits for accuracy

* Conducts new employee benefits orientation

* Prepares communications for employees which may be posted on the intranet or sent to employee homes

* Implements new plans and conducts employee meetings

Required Skills

* Bachelor's Degree

* 5 years of job-related experience in Health & Welfare, FMLA, and Disability

* Exceptional customer service skills

* Ability to multitask

* Excellent communication skills

* Strong attention to detail

* Highly organized

* Proficiency with computer skills and applications

Desired Skills

* Experience with Lawson HRIS
