Our US Distribution group is currently seeking a National Account Manager for our Retirement & Insurance channels in the Northeast territory.

Key Responsibilities & Duties Include, but not Limited to:

* Serve as the Account and relationship manager responsible for product placement, new business development, and marketing campaigns to generate, increase and maintain Legg Mason products and services with Institutional Retirement Platforms.

* Identify new sales and marketing opportunities

* Coordinate all aspects of strategic alliances and senior management relationships/contacts

* Coordinate marketing, sales, and service support activities for these accounts with sales management, wholesalers and support staff;

* Identify marketing and sales opportunities and work closely with the company staff to develop presentations and programs for key accounts;

* Develop strategies to exploit key opportunities and target market penetration and profitability levels;

* Organize and represent Legg Mason at all account-specific functions of a national and/or regional scope, including national conferences, training sessions, due diligence meetings, etc

Ideal Qualifications and Experience:

* 8-10 years of experience with significant sales and relationship management

* Established relationships with Institutional Retirement and Variable Annuity/ Sub-Advisory Platforms

* Experience coordinating and working through others such as marketing, sales, and support services;

* Licensed (Series 7, 63);

* BS Degree;

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Extensive travel required

* Able to navigate a highly matrixed organization; effective in building and leveraging relationships across departments and organizations.

* Clear and concise communicator with the ability to influence;

* Well-versed in understanding key industry trends and identifying solutions to best address client needs.

* Ability to anticipate and resolve complex issues and provide guidance to staff;

* Excellent oral and written communication skills;

* Superb public speaking and presentation skills;

* Self-directed and motivated;

* Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment that experiences a lot of change/heavy volume;

* Able to influence to achieve desired outcomes;

* Able to be goal focused and produce results;

* Able to develop strong working relationships with colleagues, teams, and clients.
