TERM: Spring Season

REPORTS TO: Director of Athletics

REQUIREMENTS: Connecticut Five Year Renewable Coaching Permit or eligibility for Temporary Emergency Coaching Permit; urrent First Aid and CPR/AED Certification; Concussion Management (Module 15) Certificate


The position changes by the season based on the sports offered and where coverage is needed but not in regards to the responsibilities. The Faculty Managers are responsible for all areas involving athletic contests beginning immediately after school until conclusion of the event, including Saturdays.

Job responsibilities of the Faculty Manager include, but are not limited to:

* Supervising athletic contests

* Overseeing bus departures

* Greeting visiting teams and officials

* Collecting officials' vouchers for payment

* Setting up and breaking down of field equipment for athletic contests

* Attending athletic contests at various off-site locations

* Monitoring locker room areas

* Supervising crowds during athletic contests

* Other related duties to assist the Director of Athletics

COMPENSATION: Stipend per Contract between Darien Board of Education and Darien Education Association (, Departments, Human Resources, Union Contracts)
