Job Location: Bridgeport, CT

Position Summary:

Performs administrative tasks in the production control function. Sorts, posts and files inventory records and production schedules. Estimates and records production rates, prepares shop orders and reviews stock records to determine stock status against project requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Prepare work packages for Manufacturing Order (MO) release and validate that all necessary documentation is available

* Coordinate MO releases with Planning and the Stockroom to ensure that all documentation and parts are available to support Production Operations

* Support Production supervisors with expediting, document gathering and material expediting

* Support and coordinate Production Operations priorities for material flow from Stockroom and Incoming Receiving Inspection to the shop floor and follow up on identified material shortages by MO

* Gathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources

* Compiles, reviews and analyzes data

* Uses software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations

* May design processes to enhance work flow

* Provides data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures

Basic Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and 2+ years of experience

* Must be flexible and willing to move between projects and tasks quickly and as needed

* The ability to listen to others and to work well as part of a team

* Excellent attention to detail, ability to manage own time effectively, produce work of the highest quality, and meet deadlines consistently

* Must have knowledge of office procedures and good writing and verbal skills

Physical Requirements:

* Working in an office environment: Lifting 0-20 lbs., Walking, Stooping, Sitting, Standing, Computer Work
