Position Overview:

The Injection Molding Set Up Technician is responsible for setting up all injection molds for automatic or semiautomatic operations. Purge and start presses and obtain acceptable parts for first heat submission. Set-up and set process parameters on multiple injection molding machines. Work from production orders, Engineering drawings, support documentation and visual aids to maintain processes within the documented specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Verify process capability and compliance to Regulatory Agency requirements by documenting ongoing process checks. Assist Quality support personnel with performing required audit / performance test.

* Perform and document routine equipment PM and Safety checks / audits as directed. Report non-compliant or unusual conditions to Plant Supervision. Perform and document routine tooling preventive maintenance and audits as directed. Report non-compliant or unusual conditions to Plant Supervision.

Education, Skills & Requirements:

* Requires the ability to read and interpret Engineering documentation and work orders to select the proper materials and tools needed to produce acceptable product. Must be qualified in the use of basic measurement equipment and requires the ability to use specialized test fixtures and equipment.

* Must possess a demonstrated ability to perform work in a manner consistent with stated safety practices while maintaining output at or above the area average

* Candidiate must have several years experience with thermoplastic and thermoset injection molding processes.

* High School diploma or equivalent required.

* Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, pull, push, reach over head, stand and walk for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time. Must show proficiency in the operation of all necessary equipment
