At Lovesac we believe you should be free to live the life you love. As an Art Director, you are responsible for in-house graphic design servicing Lovesac's website, video and printed branding material. You work closely with the marketing team to grow and develop the Lovesac brand. You create designs that tell the stories of our products and the inventors who create them.

Key Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities (Exempt)

* Is responsible to meet or exceed all goals and key performance indicators (KPIs), and lead a team to do so

* Brands print material internally for the Lovesac, designing ads, preparing files for print, designing pages for the catalog, other print and web collateral

* Designs and maintains graphics for company website

* Researches images for editorial and advertising purpose

* Maintains creative for social media outlets

* Provides creative direction for photo shoots, managing the process and editing photos for web/photography

* Develops new marketing initiatives, discussing the products and advertising requirements

* Oversees the status of advertising campaigns and examining company's competitors

* Communicates daily with the marketing staff, copywriters, photographers, and other art directors, bringing ideas to fruition

* Assists the team and management with projects and tasks as needed

* Maintains a calm demeanor and manages issues professionally and according to our company standards

* Acts with integrity and trust at all times, modeling behavior that respects our employees, peers and customers in accordance with the core values of our company

Requirements & Qualifications:

A candidate should have a bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field, and experience as a graphic designer for 4+ years at an agency. You should have experience with the following; hand illustrations and mixed media art, photography with the use of digital and manual cameras, video storyboarding and animation, type and typography for text layout, manipulation of fonts, font selection, font size and placement, providing print houses with proper file types including crop marks, scoring, Pantone and CMYK colors, and DPI.

You must be fluent in the following programs; Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Dreamweaver and front-end coding including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as well as, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). You must be able to demonstrate your skills through a portfolio of work with samples reflecting the skills necessary for the position, an understanding of the fundamentals of design, as well as the candidate's creativity and conceptual ability.

An Art Director is results driven and uses his or her knowledge to meet or exceed KPIs and goals. You have proven time management skills and quickly adapts to a changing business environment; able to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task with the appropriate level of urgency. An Art Director listens and can use this information to solve problems, anticipate issues and make correct decisions based on a variety of situations. You are accurate, providing information to correctly resolve issues. An Art Director is accountable and takes responsibility for his or her actions. You are organized and have great attention to detail. You respect people and comply at all times with the standards, procedures and policies in the Lovesac Employee Handbook.

An Art Director must be capable of using and operating all equipment as required, including but not limited to: laptop, etc. You must be able to move objects (including medium to large furniture items up to 75 pounds) from a lower to a higher position or horizontally from position-to-position and be able to assemble furniture while working on the selling floor, the office or in our warehouse. An Art Director is required to travel, as required by the Company in its sole discretion, to out of town meetings and conferences using various forms of transportation.

Our stores including our website are open seven days a week and require morning, evening, weekend and holiday availability. You work in our Headquarters located in Stamford, CT.
