Veolia is seeking a maintenance lead to support operationsin Danbury, CT, which includes O&M of Danbury's 15.5-MGD advanced tricklingfilter/activated sludge wastewater treatment plant and 20 pump stations, septagereceiving program and biosolids disposal. This position will lead staff membersto inspect, maintain, repair and install mechanical, electro-mechanical,pneumatic and/or hydraulic equipment at plant and/or pump stations. They willalso spend 100% of time in operations environment and 35% of time exposed tooutdoor and sometimes inclement weather. Must be available for rotational 24 hour emergency on-call.

* Minimum CT Grade 2 wastewater license, CT Grade 3 preferred

* High school diploma or GED with the ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions) and be able to carry out verbal and written instructions

* Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations

* Vocational training and mechanical aptitude required, with the ability to read, interpret and record data from meters, gauges, scales, panels, computer consoles and other equipment

* 5 years experience in a related position in a similar environment with ability to comprehend complex specifications, blueprints and manuals

* Must have and maintain a valid CT State Driver's License (CDL preferred)

* Ability to use computer programs for preparing work orders, work related reports, charts, graphs and data submittal requirements

* Must demonstrate proficiency in and model the care and use of all site specific, facility required PPE

* Ability to diagnose problems regardless of complexity, troubleshoot mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment and take corrective action within policy and procedure limitations

* Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary
