Job Summary:

The Senior Marketing Specialist will be part of an evolving

regional marketing team of professionals who can collaborate to

serve the growing marketing and communications needs of the

Tri-State Region. This position will serve the business

development needs of Connecticut brokers, as well as assist with

media and communications for Connecticut. This includes

hands-on visual and written content development and project

management of presentations, proposals and other marketing

and communications tools, utilizing PowerPoint, Word, Excel

and Creative Suite. Candidates should not only exhibit the skills,

but also the enthusiasm, to contribute to our goal to provide

department users with a superior end-to-end experience that

adds value to their new business, marketing and

communications efforts.


• Acts as a leader of the marketing department, serving 35brokers in CBRE's Stamford office, who require strategic

marketing and marketing tools to help pursue new business.

• Spearheads development, coordination and implementation

of marketing strategies and performs research and analysis

to support those strategies.

• Works as a team/collaborates with Marketing staff, brokers,

Research, Production Services, among other departments,

to develop and execute deliverables for new business


• Provides quality control for materials that leave the

Marketing Department based on department protocols

(proofreading, style guide, production management, etc).

• Works hand-in-hand with Tri-State Marketing Director, Tri-

State Operations Manager, and Stamford Senior Managing

Director in addition to collaborating with writers and

designers, to enlist resources needed to complete projects-

often under tight timeframes.

• Maintains and updates marketing library of presentations,

proposals and other collateral developed to use as reference

when working on future projects.

• Work hand-in-hand with external public relations firm to

draft press releases, feature stories and award submissions.

Maintain relationships with local media outlets and

industry groups to promote to CBRE.

• Manage the creation of corporate content and graphics for

journal ads, sponsorships, speaking engagements, and

industry events.

• Remains informed and up-to-date on industry knowledge,

trends and competition, in order to provide relevant,

actionable insights to projects and pitches.


• Strong writing and communication skills. Able to create

presentations and marketing tools for brokers and facilitate

day-to-day communication with brokers, marketing staff,

across departments, as well as with vendors.

• Collaborative attitude. Adept at building internal

relationships/dialogue to help facilitate process, as well as

generate the right result.

• Can think strategically and be proactive with

ideas/opportunities. The ability to comprehend, analyze

and interpret documents in order to create content for or

other materials for new business opportunities. It also

• Strong attention to detail, including strong proofreading

capabilities and interest in achieving the highest quality,

most accurate deliverables possible.

• Strong organizational skills, including working with file

libraries, file nomenclature and versioning during the

development of materials, in order to build upon the

department's library of reference materials.

• Energetic, enthusiastic and people-oriented. Enjoys

working with different personalities and can adapt

to/accommodate others' working styles while achieving

goals and objectives of projects and deliverables.

• Service-oriented and responsive. Works well under

deadlines. Can employ personal time management to

prioritize projects and get work completed.

• Adept with software programs, specifically Microsoft

Office Suite and Creative Suite. Possesses solid

PowerPoint, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop skills,

including the ability to create/modify info graphics, create

animations, insert pictures/files, etc.

• Comfortable with learning software/new skills, such as

industry-specific software to create 2D and 3D maps, and

working with our web-publishing platform.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of

related experience. Knowledge of commercial real estate

(or a related industry) is a plus, but is not required.
