Position Overview:

This is a strategic Human Resources (HR) Representative/Project Manager role that will partner with assigned clients to perform core HR functions such as employee relations investigations, organizational design, change management, recruiting, compensation, strategic planning, M&A due diligence etc. This position will report to a Director and/or VP of HR for the Hubbell Commercial & Industrial Group (HCI).

Position Responsibilities:

* Training and development initiatives including:

* Assist in analyzing and identifying training needs

* Help the HR team select and develop appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, and computer based training

* Organizes, develops, and/or obtains training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, and other educational materials

* Coordinates established training courses for technical/professional courses externally

* Maintains records and prepare statistical reports to evaluate performance of training activities, effectiveness of programs and progress of employees

* Schedule and organize training sessions for HCI

* Administration of leadership development programs with HR team and any outside consultant groups

* Develop and document HCI HR policies and procedures (payroll, recruitment, job requisitions etc.)

* Coordinate employee benefits and services for salaried employees; deals primarily with group insurance programs, workers' compensation, and 401(k) plans; assists in payroll maintenance, performs related human resources tasks:

* Administer group insurance programs (health, dental, sickness, accident, and disability)

* Assist in coordination of the background check and drug screen process

* Schedule and coordinate interview (including travel), draft offer letters, applicant background checks, maintain and track resumes and job applicants

* Conduct new employee orientation sessions

* Coordinate HR reporting/surveys (EEO-1, AAP logs, wage/benefits surveys)

* Administer employee leaves of absences, including FMLA

* Maintain the HR Shared Drive; keeping all policies, links and information up-to-date

* Support the HR sites with the rollout and communication of One Hubbell Initiatives:

* Help develop HCI group communication materials

* Ensure harmonization and standardization across sites

* Collect data and feedback from sites

* Responsible for coordinating the GRP rotational program. Duties to include:

* Assistance with relocation process during rotations

* Monthly report follow up with DDP associates and distribution

* Assist the GRP associates with their rotation transitions and set up

* Maintain tracking of rotational performance and assignments

* Assists with creation and/or revision of job descriptions for the HCI group and assists in maintaining an accurate and updated library of job descriptions.

* Manage the HCI/Shelton internship program:

* Coordinate timeline and recruitment activities

* Manage the performance process

* Develop ongoing partnership and visibility with colleges

* Shared Services Administration:

* Maintain FMLA Log, administrative tasks and correspondence related to employee absences

* Maintain insurance billing/reconciliation

* Handle Worker s Compensation administration

* Maintain benefits administration for new hire and re-enrollment

* Handle semi-monthly e-Time approval

* Prepare the information to manage the performance process

* Assist the VP in reporting HR metrics for the HCI group (Turnover, diversity, male/female ratio, headcount, etc.)

* Assist in the oversight and coordination of other HR initiatives as required

Work Experience and Educational Requirements:

* Bachelor s degree (BA/BS) in HR, Business or related field

* Master s degree in HR or related field (preferred)

* 3+ years HR experience or 1+ year combined with Master s Degree in HR

* PHR, SPHR Certification (preferred)

* Strong written and verbal communications skills

* Must have strong Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint skills and data skills

* Analytical and Solution-oriented

* Ability to work individually and with cross-functional groups

* Project Management experience

* Ability to travel
