Program, set up, operate and maintain equipment for sheet metal which includes but not limited to, CNC, punch press, shear, spotwelder, metal bend equipment; (press brakes) and other equipment related to sheetmetal fabrication. Fabricate standard and special sheet metal parts. Work from engineering prints, sketches and/or verbal instructions. Maintain quality objectives to achieve total customer satisfaction.


* Program equipment as needed to manufacture parts to engineering specification.

* Using approved methods and procedures and using the equipment listed above, work to specified tolerance and quality levels. Inspect all work using standard measuring equipment, such as, but not limited to vernier caliper, scale, square to engineering prints or sketches; prior to releasing, to ensure quality at the source.

* Fabricate parts using shear, punch press, press brake and related equipment listed in summary.

Inspect work using standard measuring equipment to engineering prints and sketches, to insure quality at the source.

* Work within established time standards.

* Help to maintain the desired inventory accuracy and labor reporting data. This includes verify receipt and issues of sheet metal to maintain the correct inventory.

* Maintain equipment and proper housekeeping and workplace organization.

* Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor


High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Must be able to read engineering prints and sketches in order to interpret routing files on work orders. 5 years of prior experience in sheet metal fabrication. Proficient in fabrication and assembly blueprint reading and use of metal fabrication equipment.
