Unit Description

Sodexo is hiring an Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 2 at Bridgeport Hospital. Bridgeport Hospital is a not-for-profit general medical and surgical hospital located in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

It's a member of the Yale New Haven Health System and affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine. This hospital has 425 beds and 850,000 cleanable square feet. This Operations Manager will also have oversight of a 120,000 square foot outpatient medical center. This is a day shift opportunity and will also require some weekends and holidays.

This hands on Operations Manager will serve as an Assistant Director and will have responsibility for 4 client-paid Supervisors and up to 120 front-line employees. Seeking individuals that want to make a difference in patient satisfaction, employee engagement and training. The ideal candidate will have previous management experience in Environmental Services, Housekeeping and/or Custodial Services in a hospital or healthcare setting. The selected candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities at once. The selected candidate will need to submit to a drug and background check.

Position Summary

Number two position at the account with responsibility for all operations. Assumes GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Supervises managers. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years of work experience in Housekeeping, Environmental or Custodial Services
