(Office located in Stamford, CT, but will require some travel to NYC campus,

position also requires Connecticut residency)

The Hospital for Special Surgery, the #1 Orthopedic and #2 Rheumatolgy Hospital in the United States, has an amazing opportunity for an experience and energetic Full Time Medical Secretary for Dr. Daphne Scott, a an Assistant Attending Physician at Hospital for Special Surgery.

Dr. Scott specializes in the non-surgical treatment of acute, overuse, and chronic injuries. She is board certified in Family Medicine and has a certificate of added qualification in Sports Medicine. In this role you will provide comprehensive administrative support and direction to an HSS physician practice, overseeing day-to-day operations and contributing to an environment of clinical excellence.

This position requires a Connecticut residency, but will require travel to NYC.

Spanish speaking is highly preferred but not required.

+ The ability to type 45-60 words per minute and exceptional organizational strengths is required.

+ Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associates Degree preferred) and at least two years of related MD office/healthcare experience.

Your primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to: triaging phone calls and patient inquiries, scheduling patients for appointments and procedures, conducting verification of medical insurance and patient billing/collections, authorization of services, filing/chart preparation.

The office is located in Stamford, but will require some travel to NYC.
