Autism Project Manager
Salary: $45,000 Responsibilities: Oversee the efficient and effective operation of social activity groups and other programs for children with ASD. Provide families of children with autism support, resource, referral, and advocacy services. Oversee and supervise social activity groups, parent groups, and all other programs in the Autism Project. Investigate new funding sources, develop and submit grant proposals. Function as a liaison between The Kennedy Center and outside agencies or groups involved with autism. Provide training to Autism Project staff, Kennedy Center staff and others on topics specific to autism. Develop new services where gaps exist. Network with a wide variety of governmental and community agencies to develop new community programs and to increase community awareness of The Kennedy Center's Autism Project. Develop evidence-based curriculum including outcome measures. Hours: 37.5 hrs. Monday through Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flexibility required including evenings and weekends. Requirements: Current licensed LMFT, LPC, LCSW or BCBA preferred. Working towards above degrees considered. Three years experience working with families and children with autism. Experience with administering assessments and social skills curriculums. Experience working with culturally diverse high risk populations preferred. Minimum of one year supervisory experience. You are required to be in possession of a car on site during your entire shift to transport yourself to community sites in all weather conditions and throughout all neighborhoods. Depending upon assignment, must be able to work in a variety of settings, weather conditions and locations. Must attend frequent out of office meetings in families' home and in the community. Must maintain CPI, CPR and First Aid certification. Must have excellent community networking, collaboration, training, and advocacy skills.
