In this role, you'll join our Digital Commerce Services team in Danbury and report to the Manager of Tracking Services. You will be responsible for\:
  • Review, recommend and modify developers' database design and changes.
  • Maintain and support new and existing non-production database environments.
  • Help improve efficiency and streamline database changes processes and automate production data refreshing in QA environments.
  • Translate business and product requirements into system requirements, work closely with PM, SME, developers to design, implement database sub systems.
  • Design, maintain and build logical and physical database models.
  • Maintain and implement database change control, release process for all non-production environments.
  • Help and work with production support DBA and customer service personnel to resolve centralized or customer hosted database escalation/issues.
  • Plan and conduct structured testing of database designs to confirm functionality and performance, optimize and tune database schemas, stored procedures, triggers, dynamic queries, and work with developers to implement complete solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to database development based on policies, guidelines and standards.
  • Develop and maintain database integrity, security, HA, DR planning
Qualification:Qualifications
  • A candidate must be a self-motivated, great team player, able to work independently, and willing and able to align with project management's priority.
  • Extensive background with SQL Server 2012, Linux/AWS MySQL 5.6.
  • Extensive experiences with source control systems, database versioning and release processes.
  • Extensive database schema design experience, and very knowledgeable in database design/implementation best practices, proficient in performance tuning and optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with data warehouse, SSIS, SSRS design and development.
  • Experience with large database batch jobs, data transformations, T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, database backups and restores.
  • Experience with database partitioning, log shipping, SSIS, and data encryption.
  • Knowledge of internal structure of indexes, statistics and system information schemas.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to clearly articulating.
  • Knowledge of MongoDB, .Net, C# and Java programming languages is a plus.
