Marketing, Midstream and Processing (MMP) shall maximise corporate value creation in Statoil?s mid- and downstream business through safe, reliable and efficient operations. We are responsible for capturing the full value potential of all marketed and traded products such as crude oil, liquids and natural gas.

MMP MAS Market Analysis and Strategy North America (MMP MAS MA NA) is responsible for covering market developments across the North American energy value chain from insight on daily events in energy markets to market outlook for the decades to come. Specifically MA NA provides market analysis and project support for marketing and trading of Statoil equity production in North America

**Job Description**

The main responsibility for this position is to provide analysis support to the MMP MT NAD?s trading desk in Stamford. The focus area will be the short term market for North American NGLs

Daily interactions with the traders in order to advice on trading strategies, opportunities and risks

Maintain and develop supply/demand and logistical models specific to North American NGLs

Provide dynamic analysis of forward markets, positions of buyers and sellers and arbitrage opportunities

Work continuously and in a structured way with the traders to develop tools and analysis with focus on improving the trading results

Work closely with other North American market analysts to align market views and bridge geographical and time horizon gaps

Actively interact with other market analysts in Stavanger, London and Singapore to ensure a continuous global overview of market drivers

Develop regular (daily, weekly, etc) market reports addressing topics of relevance for the trading desk

Drive weekly meetings with relevant analysts and traders to review market developments, and positions, as well as advise on future trading possibilities

Support to ad hoc analysis requests


5 to 7 years of NGLs Trading Analysis or related experience

B.S. or B.A./Master?s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Economics, Finance or other relevant field
