Overview:

Entegris is seeking a talented Chemist to provide hands-on testing, analysis of materials, and maintenance of analytical equipment used to support new product development activities. This individual will collect data with team members of the R&D staff. This is an R&D position within the Advanced Deposition Materials group located in our Danbury, Connecticut facility.

Responsibilities:

* Operate and perform analytical testing and materials characterization using thermal analytical equipment;

* Maintain critical analytical equipment and spare parts inventory;

* Perform routine analytical testing in support of new product development projects;

* Assist with developing and implementing analytical testing of new materials;

* Develop daily check sheets, work instructions, safety procedures and safety reviews for analytical equipment and methods;

* Data collection and experimentation assistance in support new product development;

* Make recommendations and implement improvements in efficiency, when possible.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will typically have the following skill set:

* Bachelor degree in chemistry, applied science, materials science or chemical engineering preferred;

* Experience in analytical chemistry is preferred;

* Experience in semiconductor, optical, or pharmaceutical industries is ideal;

* Handling of air-sensitive materials and methods is strongly preferred;

* Experience working safety with safe handling experience is preferred;

* Analytical training or experience preferred;

* Ability to interpret data with Senior team members;

* Strong communication skills and experience working in a team environment;

* Experience performing analytical methods a plus.
