Job Description:

Can you think outside the box, but color within the lines? We are a small, corporate investigative firm that provides due diligence and background research services to investment banks, private equity firms, and other investors. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. We are looking for a smart person who is experienced -- preferably in law, compliance, or investigative research/journalism, but other disciplines are good too -- at conducting in-depth research and writes well. The position is responsible for conducting electronic database and online research of public records and other information sources. Experience with LexisNexis and/or Westlaw is required, as is knowledge of, or familiarity with, legal and/or regulatory documents. The Research Analyst/Sr. Investigator must be able to analyze material (often voluminous amounts) for what information is important and why, and be able to clearly communicate the findings when drafting written reports. Attention to detail is paramount as are strong research and writing skills. Confidentiality on all clients, case work, and firm related methodology, practices, vendors, and resources is essential. We offer full-time and less-than-full-time positions, as well as the ability to occasionally work from home (after the initial orientation and training). In addition to salary, we offer paid time-off, health insurance, and 401k participation.
