Job Description:

TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST: The business analyst's chief role is helping the company implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a client and communicating them clearly to all stakeholders and partners. The business analyst will develop a broad knowledge of the company's products and a deep knowledge of client requirements. Duties: The analyst will support the development of technical solutions for client needs by defining, analyzing and documenting requirements; managing requirements at the project level will also be required. The analyst will be required to:Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis and workflow diagramingCritically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, simplify requirements, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.Collaborate with product management, developers and subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal clients to analyze information needs and functional requirements.Handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.Design and review test cases.Evaluate and scope requirement change requests.Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.Act as a liaison between the clients, technology teams, QA teams and support teams. Skills:Understanding of systems engineering concepts.Fluency in Agile development methods - use case, story development, detail design requirements.Experience with test case development.Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, clients, business development, sales, software development. Education:Undergraduate degree in an engineering or computer science discipline required, MBA preferred.Certification of Competency in Business Analysis??? (CCBA??) or Certified Business Analysis Professional??? (CBAP??) a plus. Experience:At least 5 years of experience in a business requirements analysis role in a technology focused company.At least 3 years experience working with EMR's or Patient Portals.HL7 experience preferred.
