JOB SUMMARY:
As a member of Charter's Communications Content Production team you will be responsible for filming, editing and producing compelling video content to support the efforts of the Communications departments (Internal, External, Corporate Social Responsibility) and other corporate units (including Talent Acquisition, Diversity and Inclusion, Product) while meeting quality standards specifically set for content and technical requirements. The ideal candidate is capable of planning shoots, directing talent, filming independently, and editing high-quality videos.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate video equipment required for production, including lights, cameras, editing systems, teleprompters and audio equipment.
  • Plans, films and edits content featured on the company intranet, as well as the company's external websites such as Spectrum Newsroom, Spectrum Responsibility and Spectrum Jobs.
  • Partners with other departments to optimize video content for internal/external syndication and social sharing.
  • Provides a steady stream of video content ideas.
  • Coordinates creative, technical and pre and post-production activities to ensure video and audio content is produced at the highest quality.
  • Oversee the maintenance and inventory of equipment to assure adequate operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Expertise in operating consumer and prosumer production (e.g. Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro, Canon C300, Sony FS5, A7R, Panasonic GH5).
  • Extensive technical knowledge of shot composition, 3-point lighting, white balance, ISO, frame rates, and video codecs.
  • Experience with in-camera audio, using lavalier and shotgun microphones.
  • Highly skilled in Adobe Premiere, and proficient with other Creative Cloud components.
  • Knowledge of color correction and audio mixing.
  • Knowledge of script writing, storyboarding and creating shot sheets.
  • Knowledge of current social media trends and the ability to create engaging short-form videos for different social media platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work while standing 50-70% of time.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, and preferably own a car.
EDUCATION
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • College coursework in either Communications, Journalism, Film and Video Production or equivalent work experience.
RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE (Number of years 3-5)
  • Film and/or video content production experience.
  • Advertising Agency, Creative Services experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels while working in the field.
  • Office environment.
  • Travel up to 30%
